I designed it myself after reading all about Heraldry in Ireland,
Spain, and Venezuela.
It means a lot to me personally because this shield describes exactly the way
I feel and the way I live my own life.
At the same time, it honors my ancestors (both Monaghan and Monagas) by including
their arms at the top of it, under a shining sun.
The motto in Latin: "Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam", means: "I will either
find a way or make my own".
